How Sponsorship Works

When you sponsor a child through Hungry4HIM, you are providing them:

• two meals per day (while they are at school duing the day)
• a school uniform (This forms part of their cultural identity. In Kenya, children who attend school wear uniforms. Those who cannot afford to go to school do not. A child's school uniform is therefore an item of clothing that they take great pride in.)
• school supplies (All of the children we sponsor are provided notebooks, pencils and other necessities for study.)
• teachers (A small portion of your sponsorship donation pays for teacher salaries. This ensures that the school is able to retain quality educators, though it is not a state-sponsored school.)
• and emergency medical care.

When you click "Sponsor Today" below and fill out the Sponsorship Form, our team will assemble a Sponsorship Packet for you matching your preferences as closely as possible.

From the time you fill out the form it generally takes approximately two weeks for your Sponsorship Packet to arrive.

You will have an opportunity to review the information in the Packet: your child's information (including a picture of the child) and our Sponsorship agreement. When we receive your first monthly contribution, your commitment to sponsor that child is solidified.

Our Commitment to Our Sponsors

We work very hard to keep sponsorship costs low. And we commit 100% of your sponsorship contribution to the needs of the children. Our team is committed to finding alternative funding for covering our overhead expenses, so that all of your money goes directly to meeting the needs of the kids in Kenya.

Writing Letters to Kenyan Children

We encourage sponsors to write letters to the children in Kenya. However, we do ask that a certain degree of cultural sensitivity is employed in the process. Please click here to find detailed instructions for writing letters to Kenyan children.
